About ESIC
Historical Background Of Ebenezer Save Inn Centre (ESIC)
Ebenezer Save Inn Centre is the brainchild of Mrs Irine Mutumbgha, a known philanthropist and community opinion leader in Bindura District. Her initial vision was to provide support for farm orphans on her own farm. She had seen how orphans in farm communities lack identity tracking and social support.
The organization was formed in Bindura on the Ist of June 2022 and a steering committee was incepted with the aim of providing a holistic support base for orphans and vulnerable children through life skills training and development. The organization has managed to convene two community sensitization meetings at Avoca Farm in Ward 20 of the Matepatepa area. Founding members of the organization have varied professional backgrounds and disciplines, and the principal founding member has been a social worker with extensive work in child protection and probation services.
They came up with the idea having realized a gap in the appreciation, care, management, and protection of orphans and vulnerable children in Matepatepa and surrounding areas. The work of the organization is supported through membership subscriptions, contributions, grants and donations from public and income-generating projects.
The organization has been conveying monthly meetings and mobilizing resources for reaching out to farming communities around Matepatepa farming communities in Bindura.
